Apple Cake (Grandma's)

½ Cup Butter (always room temp.)
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Brown Sugar
2 Eggs
1 Tsp Vanilla
 
Beat these ingredients
 
2 ½ Cup Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
½ Tsp Salt
 
Sift these ingredients
 
1 Cup Milk
 
Add your milk and flour alternately ending with flour.
 
Add 3 Cups Diced Apples
 
This can be cooked in a 9x13 pan, 2- 9” rounds or in cupcakes.
 
I use a large cupcake (muffin) pan, I add this cream cheese mixture in the middle:
 
4 oz Cream Cheese (room temp) , 2 Tbsp. Sugar, ½ Tsp. Cinnamon and 3 Tbsp. of Apple Sauce.
Add about 1 tbsp. of this in middle.
 
Top cake with this: ½ Cup Brown Sugar, 1 Tsp. Cinnamon and 1 Cup Walnuts.
 
Bake cake at 350 degrees 40-50 minutes,
Large Cupcake muffin pan 32 minutes
Regular cup cakes around 20 minutes
 
When tooth pick comes out clean its done.
